As a medical condition, Pilonidal disease does have insurance coverage for most surgical interventions including incision and drainage, as well as resection with and without reconstruction. Nonsurgical treatments, such as laser treatments or hair removal techniques are usually not covered. Most insurance providers do not appreciate the complexity of Pilonidal disease.
Even though we do not participate as in-network providers with most carriers, we do work with most insurance companies and use the out of network benefits to provide treatment options. Additionally, we work with several direct contracting accounts such as FLEX or HAS accounts, as well as accept credit cards and offer financing through different options such as Prosper lending.
